a dear friend asked me to photograph her new little love the day she was born and then a few days after they returned home from the hospital. these sessions were both some of the most amazing i have been a part of to date. i loved loved loved photographing this new sweet girl, and can't wait to continue to tell her story, as she grows, through photographs.

oh, it was so fun. how did i get so lucky? the conditions were perfect, the children all beautiful !
i love being a photographer. my job is so rewarding!

ps, you may be asking, "um, where is the pumpkin patch?" well, you see, it was all frozen over. these cold chills we have been having (tis' the season) froze the leaves and turned them black. luckily the yard was packed full of other beautiful options for some great photos! phew!

such a precious little babe. loved her deep blue eyes and her crazy hair. such a joy to shoot!

this sweet ella is special for a lot of reasons. probably the most important reason is that she has an angel always looking out for her up above, her big sister.

her sister loved beads and suckers, so we had to throw some in the mix!

i love this one, it is like she is saying, "Ta Dah! Here's my big sis!"

i got a call a couple mornings ago from a woman who works for the local newspapers here. she had heard my name through the grapevine (oh, how i love grapes!) and gave me a call to see if she could use some of my wedding images for the cover of the bridal guide that will be in this weekends newspaper - the deseret news and the tribune to be exact. i jumped on it and luckily had a peaceful moment to collect and send her images. she sent the cover to me, and i thought for those who don't get the paper here and for those who don't live it, it would be fun to show you . .

finally, i am done retouching and have burned discs for everyone from the shoot on April 26. life has been busier than i thought, so it took a bit longer. we were all puking last week, it was great, so instead of working on the computer every free minute, i was doing laundry, rubbing Grace's back, or holding my own hair back. so, probably TMI, but what i would like to say is thanks for your patience, you will get your CDs real soon (putting them in the mail wed. am), and in the meantime, enjoy . . .

*start thinking about fun, bright colored clothes, lollipops, cotton candy and balloons too!
